Marco Fazzini was born in Ascoli Piceno, Italy in 1962. He lives in Vicenza and is lecturer at the University of Ca’ Foscari, Venice, as well as a freelance critic and translator. He has published articles and books on post-colonial literatures and has translated some of the major English-language contemporary poets and published books such as:Crossings: Essays on Contemporary Scottish Poetry and Hybridity (2000), L’acrobata della memoria (2002), Conversations with Scottish Poets(2015), and The Saying of It (2017). As editor: Resisting Alterities (2004), Alba Literaria (2005), a book on poetical translations called Tradurre, paradiso dei poeti (2005), Son to the Ocean (2006), and a study on poetry and songwriting, Canto un mondo libero(2012).
His major poetry collections are: Nel vortice (1999); XX poesie (2007); Driftings and Wrecks (2010); 24 Selected Poems (2014),Riding the Storm: Ten New Poems (2016).
