Volja Hapeyeva b.1982 in Minsk (Belarus). Dr. Volja Hapeyeva is the Belarusian poet, thinker, translator and linguist. Her works have been translated into more than 10 languages. Participant of numerous literary festivals and conferences, prize-winner of literary prizes in Belarus, international residency scholarship in Austria, Germany, Latvia. Collaborates with electronic musicians, gives audio-visual performances. Writes poetry, prose and drama, sometimes books for children. Holds her PhD in linguistics. Does researches in the fields of comparative linguistics, philosophy of language, sociology of the body, gender issues in culture and literature. Member of the Belarusian PEN-Centre and the Union of the Belarusian Writers. At the moment Post-doc researcher at Minsk State Linguistic University (Belarus) and visiting associate professor at the European Humanities University (Lithuania).
