Suzana V. Spasovska - A DREAM FROM ETERNITY

They lay down to sleep
and dreamed deeply
how they lost their home
Expelled somewhere far away
to unknown parts
Nothing from their garden
could they recognize
neither in the scents of fruits
nor in their tastes
Suddenly the woman got up
and realized that after the long silence
only with music can she wake up
her beloved
Bones scattered by vultures
were proof that nothing
had they seen from each other’s extermination
She took a hollow bone
and began to play through it
All the hidden animals came out to greet her
And she just waited
for her beloved
to make strings from her hair
and join her in the rejoicing
since they were home again
