Born in 1987, Dmytro Chystiak is a Ukrainian-speaking, French-speaking and Russian-speaking poet, short story writer, literary critic, philologist and journalist. He is assistant professor at the NationalTarasShevchenkoKyivUniversity, PhD (a thesis on ancient myths in Maeterlinck’s dramas), literary translator, head of the department of literary and scientific review Mova ta istoria, editor in O.Zhovtyi publisher house (Kyiv). He translated a lot of French-speaking authors that brought him the most important translation prize in Ukraine, Maxym Rylskyi Prize (2013). Member of the National Union of Writers of Ukraine, of the French-speaking branch of PEN-club of Belgium, of the European Association of Journalists, he is member correspondent of the European Academy of Sciences, Arts and Letters (Paris).
