In anticipation of this year’s edition of the “Struga Poetry Evenings”, which will take place from the 24^th to the 28^th of August, the poster and the promotional video have been published.

The graphic design of the poster is the work of Enkel Dika, the famous graphic artist and designer from Struga, while the video production was done by ZOOTROP Studio. The author of the music is Dzijan Emin.

The poster and the promotional video illustrate the motto of this year’s edition of the “Struga Poetry Evenings”: A FEELING-CREATIVE/CREATED LANGUAGE. The description of the promotional video notes the following:

FEELING-CREATIVE/CREATED LANGUAGE A language created from feelings. A language which creates feelings. Feeling-creative/created language. The language of poetry has the power to reshape feelings into new words which will change our perception of the world, thus becoming a miraculous language. The challenge for the poet is to discover the real words with which to connect Beauty and Meaning into a poem through an inspired search. But today, the language of poetry becomes a challenge even for the newest algorithm trends of artificial intelligence which generate language based upon different principles – the principles of semantic correlation and mathematical calculations. Can we simulate the language of poetry? Are we touching the borders of humaneness? In the constant strive to conquer the world, will we be trapped in the matrix of neural networks? 

This year’s programme of the “Struga Poetry Evenings” has envisaged a Round Table with the following topic: The language of poetry and artificial intelligence.
