Biography

Andrej Medikj Lazarevski (2001, Skopje) has graduated from the Institute of Philosophy at the Faculty of Philosophy and is currently studying General and Comparative Literature at Blazhe Koneski Faculty of Philology, Ss Cyril and Methodius University (UKIM) in Skopje. He is the author of two poetry collections: Conversing with Her (2021, Data Pesnopoj) and Prayer Discourses (2022, 2023 ‒ 2nd ed., PNV Publishing). His essays have been published in “Filozofska Tribina” [Philosophical Tribune], the student cultural magazine “Umnik” [Wisdom Tooth] and the literary magazine “Sovremenost” [Contemporariness]. He is the founder and editor-in-chief of the platforms of the youth informal association for culture “Kultura Beta” [Culture Beta] and coordinator of the poetry event “Poetic Episode.” He is also a project assistant at the Philosophical Film Festival and a member of the Philosophical Society of Macedonia. He is also one of the team members of the Bookstore Café Bukva. He has taken part in a number of poetry readings, and his poems have been translated into Serbian.
