Biography
Anna Hoffmann, born in 1971 on the isle of Rügen in the Baltic Sea, studied art history, history and philosophy in Greifswald, Halle and Berlin. She has been writing poetry, prose, libretti and song lyrics since 1998. Her poems have been translated into six languages and published by various publishers, most recently: BABYLON TRANSIT. She is also part of the German PEN Centre. 2024 Goethe Institut Mexico supports the translation of the book VLUST. It will be published in Mexico by Roberto Amezquita (círculo de poesía). Babylon transit, Hybriden Verlag, Berlin 2024 is in the process of being translated into Arabic by Dr. Ali Al-Shalah (Swiss/Iraq) for publishing.
