Awakened by our touch
the Earth trembles and slips
from under our feet opening a path
through spaces blissful—to Him

Unsettled by our sparks
the stars spread out the Milky Way
to make room for the ship to pass
the sweet ship that sails excitedly across the sky

Startled by the blazing embers
the Sun hides behind the clouds
giving shade and respite
to that love that is of fire made

so that we don’t burst into flames
before the Moon rises
and pulls us in her soft embrace
to rest
