Poets

Nikolina Andova Shopova (1978) is a poetess and writer from Skopje. She is an author of two poetry collections “The entrance is on the other side” and “Connect the dots”. Her first poetry book “The entrance is on the other side” published by the publishing house “Templum” in 2013, received the prestigious prize „Bridges of Struga“, a prize awarded by UNESCO and the poetry festival Struga Poetry Evenings. In 2018 she published her first novel “Someone Was Here”, that was awarded with the “Novel of the Year” award, awarded by the Foundation “Slavko Janevski“. Her second novel “Estom” was published by the publishing house “Ili-Ili” in 2022. Nikolina A. Shopova also writes short stories and picture books for children. Her picture book „Zvezdan, the mole“ was published in 2020. She has participated on numerous European festivals of poetry, and her poetry has been translated into many European languages and was included in several poetry anthologies.
